One way to promote relaxation and inspiration in the home is through art. Art is an expression of oneself – everyone sees something different when they view art.
This week’s Steinhafels #DecoratingSolutions Tip of the Week comes to us from Devin Bagdassian, an interior decorator based in our Waukesha store. As Devin points out, art brings an added dimension to a room, and creates visual interest.
She explains, “I love to create focal walls and do the unexpected with a blank wall. Try layering art – people do not expect this look, and it’s a great conversation starter. Don’t be afraid to combine a big clock and art, or multiple pieces together. Design should be fun and playful and should speak to YOU. Have fun designing!”
Go ahead – express yourself through the art on your walls! We post a quick and easy decor tip each Monday. Check in next week for another #DSTipOfTheWeek.
When planning an interior design project, you may be tempted to have a theme. Basic rule of thumb–don’t do that! While this can work for smaller, specialized spaces… being tied to a theme can be very restricting.
For this week’s Steinhafels #DecoratingSolutions Tip of the Week we look at ways to make sure you start off on the right foot! Dawn Adamec is an interior designer based in our Waukesha store. She stresses the importance of keeping your options open.
Dawn explains, “Once you lock into a theme you get stuck with a look. Conversely, if you maintain a more transitional look, it allows you to add and subtract pieces without having to do a complete makeover, and you can continue to freshen up the space just by adding a few items here and there.”
We post a new, quick and easy decor tip each and every Monday. Check in next week for another #DSTipOfTheWeek.
Here at Steinhafels, we’re all about furniture that’s beautiful, comfortable, and on-trend.
So when our employees get a chance to use their creativity on the other end of the spectrum… it gets pretty UGLY!!
Check out some of this year’s hottest Ugly Christmas Sweater looks across the company!!
The Oak Creek Store kicked off the trend, holding their ugly sweater day in earlier December.
At our newly reopened Greenfield Store, associates kept their ugly sweater looks super cute and classic.
Our Waukesha Store team yucked it up with the store’s life-size Nutcracker.
Meanwhile, to the west at Madison East, they incorporated a potluck into the fun.
Up North in Appleton we had some NFL ugly sweater rivalry action.
And at Corporate, the theme was “Ugly Sweater Teams.”
Great job everybody… you are all “ugly” in your own special way! We love to see our employees get creative, and have a little fun in between all their hard work.

Last month it was BBQ… this month, Burgers and Gyros!
Food Truck Lunch at Steinhafels is back, and this time The Fatty Patty will be rolling into the Corporate Store parking lot on Wednesday, July 19, serving up its wide array of gourmet homemade burgers, gyros, and delicious side dishes. They even have veggie burger and chicken options. The menu is so big, we have to present it to you in 4 parts!!
The Fatty Patty has quickly become a staple at Milwaukee events like Chill on the Hill in Bay View and Street Eats in Catalano Square. Next week, the crew will be hanging out here in Waukesha… serving lunch to our employees, and any local residents who’d like to come by and try a little something different for lunch.
You can find the Fatty Patty’s page right HERE on Facebook for more information. In addition to mouth-watering pictures, there’s a bunch of rave reviews on the Facebook page, including:
“Impressive burger! I love burgers and couldn’t be happier that we randomly found this truck! This may be my favorite burger spot now in a city that has many great burgers.”
“This was literally the greatest thing of all time. 10/10 recommend this fantastic burger food truck. Friendly staff give a welcoming feeling and are quick to help decide which burger to indulge into. Phatty patty will NOT disappoint.”
“Awesome Gyro! Will definitely stop anytime.”
The Fatty Patty Food Truck will be at Steinhafels Corporate on Highway F on Wednesday, July 19 from 11-1:30pm. Cash and Credit Cards are accepted. Hope to see you there!!
UPDATE: The Double B’s food truck was a great success, with 100+ orders served in just a little more than 2 hours! The aroma of BBQ has been wafting through the office all afternoon, and employees seemed to really enjoy it. We even talked to a few people in the community who came to check it out. Here’s a few pictures. Thanks to all!
ORIGINAL BLOG: It’s no secret–food trucks are HOT right now! You can’t go to an outdoor festival, concert, or gathering without seeing various food trucks selling their wares. Pizza, tacos, grilled cheese, empanadas, pierogis, brunch, burgers, sushi… there’s not much you CAN’T get on a food truck these days.
That’s why Steinhafels is so excited to serve as the site for the Double B’s BBQ Food Truck this Thursday, June 22, from 11-1:30pm. All employees are invited to take part during their lunch period. (Cash and Credit Cards accepted)
Local community members and customers are welcome to stop by as well… the more the merrier! We see this as a great chance to get to know some of our neighbors in Waukesha/Pewaukee.
Here’s the mouth-watering menu (Warning–don’t read if you haven’t eaten lunch yet!!)
So don’t worry about packing a lunch on Thursday–let Double B’s do it for you! We hope to serve as the site for future food trucks throughout the summer.
Thanks. Let’s eat some BBQ!
